Following from last weeks theme, instead of films we love, we have been asked to write about films we want to see. So without furthter ado here is my list:
The Girl on the Train:
This is due to be released very soon and I have not long finished the book. I wouldn’t say I loved it because it was quite shocking in places and there were situations that happened which made me feel uneasy. One particular part of the story actually made me put the book down for a breather! However, I would still like to see how this is adapted for the big screen and at least I am prepared for the uncomfortable moments.
I’ve heard mixed reviews about this film but I would like to make up my own mind. I’m more DC than Marvel so this film would appeal to me anyway. I love the Joker and Harley Quinn so again, any adaptation on that role will interest me. I’m still quite lucky that I don’t know much about the film so could watch it with an open mind.
Batman: The Killing Joke:
Another DC. This is the film version of the Graphic Novel with the same name. It focusses heavily on the Joker and has been claimed to be one of the best Batman Graphic Novels to date. I own this particular Graphic Novel so naturally I would love to see it’s screen adaptation.
When Marnie Was There:
If you saw my last post, you will know that I love Studio Ghibli films. I have also read rumours that this may be the last film to be made by Studio Ghibli which brings me great sadness. It makes seeing this film even more special.
I’m not sure if I will like this film or not. I absolutely adored the animated original and that would be my main reason for seeing this version. I did see a clip with some humour and must admit, it was a bit silly for me but we’ll see. Perhaps I’ll love it anyway.
Beauty and The Beast (2017):
I love this story and I’ve loved seeing the trailers with Emma Watson. I’m not sure what will happen, I don’t even know if Emma’s character is named ‘Belle’. I presume so! I think the less I hear about it, the better. I want to watch it as an individual film and not compare it to the animated version.
So that’s my want to see films so far 🙂
