My New Kit – Underwater Love

Underwater Love Kit

Yesterday I finally opened my Esty shop again! For a long while I didn’t know where I wanted to go with it. I toyed with the idea of going digital, creating clip art and printable stickers/inserts. However this didn’t really spark any excitement for me. Also, if I’m completely honest, I’m not sure how I’d feel about seeing my artwork used on someone else’s stickers etc.

After attending Planner Con in April, I came to the realisation that I loved the creative/art journal workshop. I also noticed that a lot of people can shy away from this area. However when they show you what they create when given the right tools, it’s beautiful. There were some really lovely creative spreads being developed.

With this in mind, I decided to create kits to help people with their journal work/memory keeping. It’s something I love to do in my spare time, it’s almost my treat to myself after a hard week’s work. The kits would provide the sort of tools I use when I journal, ephemera, stickers, ink sprays, journal cards. I would work to a theme so that people would have a starting point.

This kits theme is ‘Underwater Love. It’s a mixture of mermaids, the ocean and the starry night. I feel the two are connected and wanted to get the right blend of this.

As well as kits and elements of the kits, I also sell planner charms. This came from making the charms for the Planner Con goody bags. It’s a process I really enjoy so decided to continue with it.
